With or without femtosecond laser assistance, remaining cataract lens material is emulsified and removed inside the eye.

Empty capsular bag
After lens material is removed, the clear capsular bag remains and is checked before intraocular lens placement.

Intraocular lens placement
The intraocular lens is placed inside the capsular bag to replace the removed cloudy natural lens.
